We've shown our clients that a simple animated demonstration on their support site can educate end-users and reduce support calls dramatically. A brief animated sales presentation on the web can increase sales. A well-designed and engaging road-show presentation can get channel partner mind share. Interactive hands-on classroom training can reduce support costs, increase customer satisfaction and result in additional same-customer product sales.

When education is the solution, we can develop the right materials quickly and cost-effectively and deliver them in the most appropriate and wide-reaching manner. Here are the types of projects we work on, followed by very specific examples:

  • Interactive CD-ROM: Crank up the speakers, pop in the CD-ROM, double-click and get educated!

  • Web-based e-Learning: The web isn't just for buying pet supplies anymore! Enter the address, click on the links, see a presentation, check out the demos, try out the simulations, test your progress. Point, click, and learn!

  • Classroom Education: Ah, the smell of markers on a white board. Sometimes nothing can replace the in-person, hands-on training class.

  • Seminars and Road-shows: Pack up the dogs and feed the ponies, we're going to put on a show. Lights, cameras, action!

The award-winning Packeteer in Action, designed by WKMN, has been Packeteer's #1 sales tool since 1999.
It introduces Packeteer's products, demonstrates their business value, and provides enough technical detail to meet the needs of influential technical advisors.

Our award-winning Installation & Basic Configuration and Advanced e-Learning, developed by WKMN, reduces customer support costs and increases customer satisfaction. It includes hardware installation and expansion videos, animated software demonstrations, and hands-on practice in advanced configuration techniques.

Cisco University: WKMN has developed a variety of technical and sales education programs for Cisco Systems, including the one pictured to the left that was sponsored by the Small Business Administration. This program helped motivate small businesses to get connected, and of course, use Cisco equipment to do it.

 
       
 

VoIP Virtual University: When Clarent needed to train a worldwide team of "truck-roll" installers to perform initial installation and hardware maintenance for their products, they enlisted WKMN. We developed a virtual wiring closet where installers performed pre-installation checks, prepared hardware for installation, installed hardware, and performed hot-swaps. The CD-ROM reduced the need for Clarent staff to go on-site and also reduced routine installation support calls, reducing overall cost of sales.

 
       
 

New Employee Orientation - HP World:

With less than 30% of new hires attending classroom orientation, HP recognized that they needed a new way to communicate corporate culture, history, practices, and values. We developed a virtual theme park, with each attraction providing education on HP's mission, values, processes, standards and practices. HP World boasted nearly 80% completion by new hires and extremely high user satisfaction. WKMN helped HP deploy this education across the world, with localized versions in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

 
       
 

Responsys, a leader in optimized interactive marketing solutions, needed to increase customer satisfaction and reduce customer support call center costs. WKMN identified the most common customer problems resulting in support calls and revamped the two-day hands-on course to eliminate those calls. WKMN also developed advanced e-Learning webinars to help customers take better advantage of advanced features of Responsys solutions.

 
       
 

IBM's Small Business WebConnections for Whistle InterJet CD-ROM: WKMN designed self-paced CD-ROM / Web-based training on the award-winning Whistle InterJet product line. Our innovative Virtual Training Center, included rooms for sales training, installation-team training, and end-user training. This is the primary way in which IBM trained internal staff, resellers, ISP partners and end-users, all with one CD-ROM or web site. WKMN is proud to have won top honors in the AXIEM Awards competition with the CD-ROM version of this training. Check out the web version of the training .

 
       
 

Protocol Analysis CD-ROM: Getting the most out of your Fast LAN requires that you know everything that's happening because "if you can't see it, you can't fix it." With significant competition in the analyzer market, Shomiti needed to demonstrate the power of their products. The CD-ROM contained a product overview and demonstrations on Shomiti's (Finisar) Surveyor traffic analysis products. It also included limited-time analyzer software that would run on any Windows platform.

 
         
  Offering fixed broadband multiservice access solutions, Aperto Networks wanted to give potential customers and partners a glimpse at the key advantages of several features critical to wireless success. They came to WKMN to help articulate those features with an on-line presentation. Click here to view it. 3Com Remote Access, Routing and Switching: WKMN was the primary sales and technical training developer for 3Com's remote access products. We created classroom instruction, seminars, CD-ROMs, and self-study guides. We also developed training classes, seminars, self-study guides, and CD-ROMs on 3Com's routing, switching, VPN, and small-office solutions.

 
         
 

VPN Training: VPNet (acquired by Avaya), a pioneer in Virtual Private Networks needed to train network professionals to install and support their products. WKMN developed comprehensive, hands-on technical basic and advanced-level training for VPNet.
